Where We Come From

Austin Roots — Jacob's Beginning

I grew up in Austin, Texas. Not Dallas. Not Houston. Austin — before the Tesla plant, before the tech boom turned every suburb into a waiting list. I went to Liberty Hill High School, graduated in 2015, and then headed west to Texas Tech in Lubbock to figure out what I was supposed to do with my life.

I played football my whole childhood. It was everything. When the opportunity came up to play at the college level, I had to make a hard choice — one that my coaches didn’t love, but one I knew was right for my future. I chose to protect my long-term health and walk away from competitive football. It wasn’t easy. But it taught me something early: sometimes the smart decision is the harder one. That lesson shows up in how we run every project today.

Starting From Scratch — A Truck, a Mower, and a Work Ethic

In 2017, while I was still a student at Texas Tech, I started mowing lawns in Lubbock. Not with a fleet of equipment — with a rented lawn mower and my personal pickup truck. I’d mow before class, after class, on weekends. Whatever it took. I had zero startup capital and zero connections. What I had was the stubbornness to outwork everyone around me.

That business grew. Faster than I expected. And along the way, I met Jeremy.

The Partnership — Jacob Meets Jeremy

Jeremy Perry and I connected through our shared Christian faith in Lubbock. From the first conversation, it was obvious we were wired differently — and that those differences were exactly what both of us needed.

I’m the client-facing side of this business. I want to be on the job, shaking your hand, making sure you feel confident about the project. Jeremy runs the back end. Systems, scheduling, quality control, documentation — he’s the reason we can scale without things falling apart. What we built together is more than what either of us could have built alone.

Building Something Real — Lubbock's Pro Services

Lubbock’s Pro Services LLC was officially founded on October 10, 2022. In 2024, we expanded operations to Amarillo. In 2025, we secured a multi-year landscape maintenance contract with Whataburger — a company that doesn’t hire contractors who can’t perform. And we expanded into Houston.

None of that happened by accident. It happened because we do what we say, finish what we start, and don’t treat people like invoice numbers.

Jacob Sanders

Jacob grew up in Austin, Texas — a Liberty Hill High School graduate and Texas Tech alum who came home to serve the market he knows best. As the face of Centex Concrete Contractors Austin, Jacob is the person you’ll meet at your estimate, the one you can call when you have questions mid-project, and the one who signs off on every job before it’s marked complete.

Jacob started his first business in 2017 with nothing but a rented lawn mower and a relentless work ethic. Everything you see with Centex Concrete Contractors Austin today — the systems, the scale, the standards — was built from that starting point.

Outside of work, Jacob’s faith and family drive everything he does. He made a deliberate, smart decision as a young man to prioritize his long-term health over short-term glory — and he brings that same long-view thinking to every concrete project he oversees.

Jeremy Perry

Co-Founder & Operations Director, Centex Concrete Austin

Jeremy Perry has spent years in the field doing the kind of hands-on work that most “operations directors” have never touched. He understands concrete, crews, and job sites from the ground up — and he built the operational systems that allow Lubbock’s Pro Services to run multiple projects across Texas without anything falling through the cracks.

Jeremy is the reason your project gets scheduled when it’s supposed to, materials show up when they’re needed, and your yard doesn’t look like a construction disaster two days into a three-day job.

His faith-driven commitment to integrity isn’t a marketing tagline. It’s how he shows up every day — in business and in life. Jeremy also serves his community through his ministry work, which speaks to the character behind the company.
